How do we get started?

Call us. We'll talk about your sailing ambitions, answer your questions and offer suggestions to help you make the best choice that is right for you.

We have chosen our yacht, now what?

Together we will review your sailing plans and then prepare the options list. We can also discuss any customizations that would enhance your short, mid and long-term plans.

Once an order has been placed with us, a contract is issued by Hanse Yachts and a deposit is to be paid. This officially books your boat’s production slot and delivery schedule.

How will my boat be delivered?

Most models are delivered by cargo ship.

Where will my boat be delivered to?

We receive our boats from the cargo delivery in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.

Other points of delivery in the Caribbean can be offered, at an extra cost.

Who does the commissioning?

Commissioning is a 2 part process.

The first part is managed at the boatyard in Germany by Hanse's dedicated rigging and commissioning team. This includes the installation of all standing rigging and deck hardware.

Once in the Carribean, our own team carries out the final preparation & tests. This eliminates the concern of availability at local yards and has your boat almost ready-to-sail right off the cargo.

What additional costs need to be considered?

We deliver, commission and thoroughly test your new yacht.

You will need to register and insure the vessel and supply the boat with personal belongings.

What is required for Customs?

We provide you with all the documents and certificates that will allow you to register your boat in the port of call of your choosing.

We can put you in contact with professionals in your area that will assist you with going through the specific process of your selected port of call.

How are warranty issues handled?

They all are processed through us.

Should any warranty work be required on your boat we assist you wherever your boat is located.

Is there a tax benefit?

There is no tax nor duty applicable when receiving a boat in the British Virgin Islands.

Many other Caribbean countries offers tax free advantage.
